• Account Information: Your name, email address, bio, occupation, travel interests, and optional profile photograph provided during signup or profile editing.

• Journey & Trip Information: Train names, train numbers, boarding/destination stations, journey dates, and travel duration added by you to discover co-passengers.

• Optional PNR Numbers: When you choose to use the PNR auto-fill feature, your 10-digit PNR is submitted solely to fetch journey details (train number, stations, schedule) from railway status gateways.

• Direct Messages & Connections: In-app chat messages, connection requests, and check-in verifications.

We take passenger security and journey privacy extremely seriously:

• Zero PNR Exposure: Your 10-digit PNR number is never displayed publicly on discovery feeds, search cards, or shared with other connected passengers.

• Zero Seat/Berth Sharing: TrainParcel does not publish your exact seat or berth number to other travelers. Co-passengers can only see that you are traveling on the same train or route.

• No Data Selling: We do not sell, rent, or trade your travel data, PNR details, or contact info to commercial advertisers, third-party marketing brokers, or data aggregators.

TrainParcel gives you complete control over your visibility:

• 1-Tap Incognito Mode: You can toggle "Profile Discoverability" OFF anytime in Profile > Privacy & Safety. When OFF, your profile and upcoming trips are completely hidden from all discovery feeds and companion searches.

• Selective Connections: Chat conversations only start once both passengers mutually accept a connection request.

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA 2023):

• You can delete any saved trip at any time directly from the Trips dashboard. Deleting a trip immediately removes it from companion matchmaking.

• You can request complete account and data deletion by contacting our privacy team, which permanently purges your account, trips, and messages from our servers.

Under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, TrainParcel maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment, hate speech, spam, impersonation, or any unlawful conduct. Users can instantly block and report any individual directly from the chat or profile interface.
